Kashmir: Heaven on earth!

Kashmir is heaven on earth! How else will you explain the gorgeous valleys, snow-capped mountains, rivers, alpine meadows and beautiful people.. The Buddhist monasteries of Ladakh add to the glitter of this breathtaking location.


God has bestowed this world by beauty. Every place in the world has some charm and Kashmir has a little more to pride of. And Kashmir is one of the places which has abundance of beauty and a great potential to attract the tourists from across the globe. It would be a heavenly experience if you could plan a trip to Kashmir has it can give you a thrilling experience with its adventurous sports like mountaineering, Trekking etc.



Kashmir is so precious, no outsider is allowed to own land here. The state has three regions - Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. Each region is beautiful in its own way. Nature has blessed Kashmir with incredible beauty.. One can stay in luxury houseboats on the beautiful Dal Lake in Srinagar, go skiing in Gulmarg, view the majestic Himalayan peaks, see the Chinar trees turn russet in autumn.

Even though there are various places coming up with beautiful scenic… It cannot match what Kashmir owes to us. Kashmir possess many pilgrimage destinations like the Amarnath, Charar-e-sharif, Hazratbal, Khanqah Mosque, Kheer Bhawani, Shankaracharya temple, Gompas in Ladhak and Vaisho Devi.




Apart from the pilgrim destinations, many Wildlife Sanctuaries and National Parks like Dachigam National park, Overa wildlife Sancturay, Gulmarg Biosphere Reserve, Ramnagar National Park, Jasrota National Park, Nandini wildlife sanctuary etc. help to conserve different mountain species.. wherein you can find snow leopard, Hangul, Chiru, Yak, Several Birds and other unique animals.


Kashmir receives heavy snow fall from December to March. Snow can always double the joy.The skiing slopes in Gulmarg are incomparable and enjoyable for sky riders. The best slopes are known as highland slope, 85 slope, monkey slope, and baby slope.




Jammu & Kashmir is full of widely varying people and rich culture. People of Kashmir are famous in the world for their traditions, customs and hospitality. The Kashmiri people usually practice Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism and speak Urdu, Kashmiri, Pahari, Hindi and Ladakhi languages. Pheran, the traditional dress of Jammu & Kashmir is a long loose shirt which hangs down below the knees along with a white turban tied on a skull cap, a close-fitting trousers and lace less shoes called Gurgabi.



The Pheran for Kashmiri women is more stunning and graceful with the heavy embroidery and has broad sleeves. Pheran is considered a combination of Indian and Iranian clothing. For the Kashmiri women, one thing is important i-e the charm for the ornaments. The traditional dress of Jammu & Kashmir also includes the delicate Cashmere wool products and Kashmiri Shawls.



These Shawls are popular in the world for the elegant material and exotic embroidery applied on them. The most precious of them are the Shawls prepared with Pashmina Wool. Kashmir handicrafts are unique in nature. Paper machine and wood carving are famous and distinct.  It is place wherein you must visit at least once in your life time.
